Spot of Spring
I thought this looked cute and springy. Such a simple little arrangement that makes me smile when I see it. I love these galvanized buckets. I dig them out whenever I need to make a cute little arrangement.

Hoot! Hoot!
For my niece's birthday I knitted up an owl. If you haven't noticed owls are big right now. I see them everywhere on clothing, fabric and in home decor. I found the free owl knitting pattern off of www.ravelry.com. I was then directed to this website for the pattern. Snoozing Ned I love his name, Snoozing Ned. Mine doesn't look like he's snoozing, but more like he's smiling since I flipped his eyes. I'm fairly new to knitting and taught myself how to knit about 6 months ago. I think it turned out super cute and the birthday guests thought I had bought it. High five for me!
It's Official
I'm joining the blog world. I've decided that I need a place that I can keep track of all my projects. I have numerous hobbies and really should just focus on one, but that would be like picking which child is my favorite. I just can't do it. I've dabbled in just about everything and if I haven't tried it then you can bet I will in the future. On my list of things I currently like to do is.... paint, sew, knit and card making. I've dabbled in stain glass, jewelry, ceramics, quilting, scrapbooking and calligraphy. On my list of things I'd like to learn how to do is welding, I know what your thinking, but I think it would be cool to make things out of metal. The problem with having this many hobbies is that I'm running out of space in my house to store things and to actually sit down and do them. My dining room is my current location where I paint and sew. I have a great Herman and Miller table with a formica surface so my paint comes right off if I accidentally make a mess which is often. It would probably be smarter if I used my easel, but I typically only use it for large scale paintings. I would love to have a studio to work in so I can contain the mess, but such is life. I'm hoping to get a post up of a project that I recently finished for my niece in the next few days. Stay tuned.
