Batman Logo Painting

In addition to making a Batman crib mobile for my friend I also included a coordinating painting with the Batman logo and her son's name.

Rocket Painting

Another painting for a sweet boy's room that I did awhile ago, but haven't posted. I did one for his older brother that was an airplane and train. I thought a rocket would be a great addition to their room.

Under the Sea Painting

I was asked to make a custom painting for a nursery via my Etsy page. I matched the nursery bedding called CoCaLo Turtle Reef. It has turtles and fish on the baby quilt. It turned out really cute and I hope the recipients are happy.

Toucan Painting

I just finished up a painting of a Toucan for a boy nursery with a jungle theme.

Butterfly Daisy Painting

I recently made this cute painting for a friend, whose daughter is just as girly as mine. I went with a purple butterfly and  pink daisies.  You definitely can't go wrong with those two colors when you are making something for 6 year old girls. It was my first sale at my Etsy shop.  A big thanks to my friend, Deb.

Dandelion Painting

Here is a new painting I just finished for a little girl's room.  The dandelion mimics the fabric used in her bedroom so it will all coordinate.  I can't help it, it's the interior designer in me.

Princess Painting

I was able to finish the princess painting this week.  Yay!  It feels great to get a project completed. I really enjoyed working on this painting. I typically like to paint people, so it took me less time to paint it.  These little princesses are going into a "Princess basket" at my daughter's school and will be raffled off. Of course after I finished the painting my daughter asks if I can make her one like that for her room.

Mickey

Here's the latest painting I finished with Mickey and the gang.  I hope the birthday girl I made this for likes it.  Now I need to get started on the next painting since it needs to be done in the next two weeks.

Tinkerbell

Here is one of my latest paintings.  I painted this for a birthday present since this little girl loves Tinkerbell.  I was going to add her name somewhere in there, but I liked it just the way it was.  

Circus Nursery

As you remember in a previous post I was telling you about the adorable nursery my sister in-law is putting together.  She just posted it on her blog.  Definitely head over to check it out.  You can see how fabulous the circus tent curtains look in the nursery that my Mom made.  She seriously outdid herself on making the curtains.  Here is a little preview of the curtains, but go check out the rest of the nursery.

Circus Painting

I have a little nephew on the way and they are decorating his room with a circus theme.  How cute!  I'll have to get pictures of the room when it is all done and show you all.  They asked me to do a painting for his room and it really turned out cute.

Upcoming Project

I haven't started on this project yet, but I wanted to practice on the fabric first before I do the real thing.  It's a project working with neoprene and fabric paint.  The paint worked just fine and I'll be getting ready to crank out this project soon.  Some lucky members of my family are going to get to help me with this one.  :)

Tank Painting

Another painting for a little boy's room done. First time I've ever painted a tank.  I totally had to step out of my comfort zone with the last few paintings.  I haven't painted too many vehicles before.

VW Bug Painting

I finished up painting #2 for my friend.  I like the way it turned out and hope she likes it too. 

Jeep Painting

I've been working on 3 different paintings for a friend who has 3 little boys.  This one I just finished for her little boy, Sterling.  He is into jeeps, so I thought I'd try my hand at painting one for him.

New Painting

Over the weekend I finished up a painting for a friend's baby.  I don't get to do enough paintings for baby boys and I thought this one turned out pretty adorable.

Lion Painting

I finished this painting before Christmas and didn't have a chance to post it up on my blog.  I love how it turned out and wanted to show you all.  I'm starting a new painting tonight for another cute little boy. 

New Painting

A friend of ours just had little baby girl and to celebrate her birth I painted her a little something.  I found this ribbon and wanted to incorporate it into the painting.  I mimicked the design of the ribbon and used it in the border of the painting.  I had a totally different design painted in the middle originally, but it was just too busy.  I ended up repainting the middle and going with something a little more simple, polka dots.
 

Scrapbooks

I'm going to admit to you all that I'm not good at keeping up with my scrapbooks.  I love the end product, but do not like how time intensive it is.  I just finished up my daughters scrapbook up until her 2nd birthday.  I'm only 2 years behind now.  My daughter can't understand why I don't have her 3rd and 4th birthday in the scrapbook.  I'm trying to make a real effort to start doing a couple pages a week so I can catch up, but I'm thinking that might be an impossible task with two kids underfoot.  I will admit my daughter absolutely adores looking through the scrapbooks.  This makes all the work worth it.  This week I went ahead and painted on the front cover of her first scrapbook.
