Appliqued Heart Shirt

This year for Valentine's Day I wanted to make my daughter a shirt.  I wanted to applique a heart on to a plain shirt, but wanted something with a little more pizazz.  I found a shirt online that used fabric flowers and shaped them into a heart.  Pretty cute.

All you need to do is make a paper template and cut out the knit flowers.  I sewed the flowers on to the shirt by hand, but I'm sure you could use a machine as well.

  2. I saw this idea in miniboden.com so thank you for showing me a way to make it b/c I refuse to pay $30 for a child's shirt!! :) Love it!

  3. Yes, miniboden that's where I saw the shirt. I couldn't remember where it was. I also wouldn't fork over $30 for a shirt either, when you can make it much cheaper.
